بِسمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَاَ حَولَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ

Pronunciation

Bismil-lah, tawakkaltu 'alal-lah, wala hawla wala quwwata illa billah

English meaning

In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.

Explanation (Tafseer)

When leaving home, this prayer begins in Allah’s name, states personal trust in Him, and closes by denying any independent might or power. Its three short clauses move from remembrance to reliance and then to acknowledgment of complete dependence.
