اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَن أَضِلَّ، أَو أُضَلَّ، أَو أَزِلَّ، أَو أُزَلَّ، أَو أَظلِمَ، أَو أُظلَمَ، أَو أَجهَلَ، أَو يُجهَلَ عَلَيَّ

Pronunciation

Allahumma innee a'oothu bika an adilla aw odal, aw azilla aw ozall, aw athlima aw othlam, aw ajhala aw yujhala 'alay

English meaning

O Allah, I take refuge with You lest I should stray or be led astray, or slip or be tripped, or oppress or be oppressed, or behave foolishly or be treated foolishly.)(slip: i.e. to commit a sin unintentionally

Explanation (Tafseer)

Before leaving home, this prayer seeks protection from four paired harms: going astray or being led astray, slipping or being made to slip, oppressing or being oppressed, and acting foolishly or receiving foolish treatment. The balanced wording covers both causing harm and suffering it.
