أَستَودِعُكُمُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي لاَ تَضِيعُ وَدَائِعُهُ

Pronunciation

Astawdi'ukumul-lah, allathee la tadee'u wada-i'uh

English meaning

I place you in the trust of Allah, whose trust is never misplaced.

Explanation (Tafseer)

Spoken by a traveler to those left behind, this prayer entrusts them to Allah. It describes what is placed with Him as never lost, so the farewell joins separation with confidence in Allah’s keeping rather than relying on the traveler’s continued presence.
