Spreading the greetings of Salam (Peace) — Du'a 1

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((لاَ تَدخُلُوا الجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤمِنُوا، وَلاَ تُؤمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا، أَوَلاَ أَدُلُّكُم عَلَى شَيءٍ إِذَا فَعَلتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبتُم، أَفشُوا السَّلاَمَ بَينَكُم)).

Approximate Arabic reading aid

Qāla rasūlu allāhi ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam: lā tadkhulū aljannata ḥattā tu'minū, walā tu'minū ḥattā taḥābbū, awalā adullukum 'alā shay'in idhā fa'altumūhu taḥābabtum, afshū as-salāma baynakum.

English meaning

The Messenger of Allah said: ‘You shall not enter paradise until you believe, and you shall not believe until you love one another. Shall I not inform you of something, if you were to act upon it, you will indeed achieve mutual love for one another? Spread the greeting amongst yourselves.

Explanation (Tafseer)

This teaching connects faith, mutual love, and the greeting of peace. Spreading salam is presented as a practical way to nurture affection across the community, not merely as a polite formula. The sequence moves from belief to love to an everyday action shared among people.
