بِسمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجنَا، وَبِسمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجنَا، وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلنَا، ثُمَّ لِيُسَلِّم عَلَى أَهلِهِ

Pronunciation

Bismil-lahi walajna, wabismil-lahi kharajna, wa'ala rabbina tawakkalna

English meaning

In the name of Allah we enter and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we place our trust.

Explanation (Tafseer)

On entering home, this prayer places both entry and departure in Allah’s name and declares trust in Him as Lord. Its wording joins the two movements of household life—coming in and going out—under the same remembrance and reliance.
