ضَع يَدَكَ عَلَى الَّذِي تَألَّمَ مِن جَسَدِكَ وَقُل: بِسمِ اللَّهِ، ثَلاَثاً، وَقُل سَبعَ مَرَّاتٍ: أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدرَتِهِ مِن شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

Approximate Arabic reading aid

Ḍa' yadaka 'alā alladhī ta'allama min jasadika waqul: bismi allāhi, thalāthan, waqul sab'a marrātin: a'ūdhu billāhi waqudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa'uḥādhiru

English meaning

Place your hand at the site of the pain and say: (In the name of Allah(three times)) the supplicate seven times: (I take refuge in Allah and within His omnipotence from the evil that I feel and am wary of.)

Explanation (Tafseer)

For bodily pain, the instruction joins touch and prayer: place the hand where it hurts, say “Bismillah” three times, then seek refuge seven times in Allah and His power from the harm being felt and feared. The words acknowledge the pain while directing reliance toward Allah’s protection.
