The excellence of remembering Allah — Du'a 4

وَقَالَ صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((لَأَن أَقُولَ سُبحَانَ اللَّهِ، وَالحَمدُ لِلَّهِ، وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، وَاللَّهُ أَكبَرُ، أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا طَلَعَت عَلَيهِ الشَّمسُ)).

Approximate Arabic reading aid

Waqāla ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam: la'an aqūla subḥāna allāhi, wal-ḥamdu lillāhi, walā ilāha illā allāhu, wallāhu akbaru, aḥabbu ilayya mimmā ṭala'at 'alayhi ash-shamsu.

English meaning

Aboo Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah said: ‘Saying: (How perfect Allah is, and all praise is for Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and Allah is the greatest.) is more beloved to me than everything the sun has risen over.

Explanation (Tafseer)

Four foundational statements appear together: Allah is perfect, all praise belongs to Him, none deserves worship except Him, and He is the greatest. The passage values these words above everything touched by the rising sun. Together they cover glorification, praise, monotheism, and magnification.
