Invocation for leaving the mosque
يَبدَأُ بِرِجلِهِ اليُسرَى)) وَيَقُولُ: ((بِسمِ اللَّهِ وَالصّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسأَلُكَ مِن فَضلِك، اللَّهُمَّ اعصِمنِي مِنَ الشَّيطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
Approximate Arabic reading aid
Yabda'u birijlihi alyusrā wayaqūlu: bismi allāhi waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu 'alā rasūli allāhi, allāhumma innī as'aluka min faḍlik, allāhumma a'ṣimnī mina ash-shayṭāni ar-rajīmi
English meaning
In the name of Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask You from Your favour. O Allah, guard me from the accursed devil.
Explanation (Tafseer)
When leaving the mosque, the words begin in Allah’s name and include prayers and peace upon His Messenger. The prayer then turns to two personal requests: receiving from Allah’s favor and being guarded from the accursed devil.
