اللَّهُمَّ اغفِر لِي ذَنبِي كُلَّهُ: دِقَّهُ وَجِلَّهُ، وَأَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ، وَعَلاَنِيَّتَهُ وَسِرَّهُ

Pronunciation

Allahummagh-fir lee thanbee kullah, diqqahu wajillah, wa-awwalahu wa-akhirah, wa- 'alaniyyatahu wa-sirrah

English meaning

O Allah, forgive me all of my sins, the small and great of them, the first and last of them, and the seen and hidden of them.

Explanation (Tafseer)

This is a comprehensive request for forgiveness that names every scale and setting of sin: small and great, first and last, visible and hidden. The paired contrasts show that the plea is meant to leave no part of one's wrongdoing outside the request for pardon.
