Invocations during Sujood — Du'a 7

Pronunciation

Allahumma innee a'oothu biridaka min sakhatik, wa-bimu'afatika min 'uqoobatik, wa-a'oothu bika mink, la ohsee thana-an 'alayk, anta kama athnayta 'ala nafsik

English meaning

O Allah, I take refuge within Your pleasure from Your displeasure and within Your pardon from Your punishment, and I take refuge in You from You. I cannot enumerate Your praise, You are as You have praised Yourself.

Explanation (Tafseer)

This supplication seeks shelter in Allah's pleasure from His displeasure and in His pardon from His punishment, then seeks refuge in Allah Himself. It closes by admitting that human praise cannot fully encompass Him and that He is as He has praised Himself.
