((أَصبَحنَا وَأَصبَحَ المُلكُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِينَ، اللَّهُـمَّ إِنِّي أَسأَلُكَ خَيرَ هَذَا اليَومِ:فَتحَهُ، وَنَصرَهُ، وَنورَهُ، وَبَرَكَتَهُ، وَهُدَاهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِن شَرِّ مَا فِيهِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعدَهُ)). [وإذا أمسى قال: أمسينا وأمسى الملك للَّه ربّ العالمين اللَّهم إني أسألك خير هذه الليلة: فتحها، ونصرها، ونورها، وبركتها، وهداها، وأعوذ بك من شر ما فيها، وشر ما بعدها.]

Aṣbaḥnā wa'aṣbaḥa almulku lillāhi rabbi al'ālamīna, allāhumma innī as'aluka khayra hādhā alyawmi: fatḥahu, wanaṣrahu, wa nūrahu, wabarakatahu, wahudāhu, wa'a'ūdhu bika min sharri mā fīhi washarri mā ba'dahu. wa idhā amsā qāla: amsaynā wa amsā al-mulku lillāh rabbi al-'ālamīna allāhumma innī as'aluka khayra hādhihi al-laylati: fatḥahā, wa naṣrahā, wa nūrahā, wa barakatahā, wa hudāhā, wa a'ūdhu bika min sharri mā fīhā, wa sharri mā ba'dahā.

English meaning

We have reached the morning and at this very time all sovereignty belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this day, its triumphs and its victories, its light and its blessings and its guidance, and I take refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that follows it.)[For the evening, the supplication is read as follows:](We have reached the evening and at this very time all sovereignty belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Explanation (Tafseer)

This remembrance opens by recognizing that the new morning, and all sovereignty within it, belong to Allah, Lord of the worlds. It asks for the day's good—its openings, victory, light, blessing, and guidance—and seeks refuge from its evil and what follows, with parallel wording provided for evening.
