Aṣbaḥna 'alā fiṭrati al'islāmi, wa'alā kalimati al'ikhlāṣi, wa'alā dīni nabiyyinā muḥammadin ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam, wa'alā millati abīnā ibrāhīma, ḥanīfan musliman wamā kāna mina almushrikīna. wa idhā amsā qāla: amsaynā 'alā fiṭrati al-islāmi.

English meaning

We rise upon the fitrah of Islam, and the word of pure faith, and upon the religion of our Prophet Muhammad and the religion of our forefather Ibraheem, who was a Muslim and of true faith and was not of those who associate others with Allah.)(fitrah: the religion of Islam, the way of Ibraheem u.)(Note: for the evening, one reads amsayna instead of asbahna.

Explanation (Tafseer)

This remembrance begins the day, or the evening with its adjusted wording, by affirming Islam as the natural way, sincere belief in Allah alone, the religion taught by Prophet Muhammad, and the upright faith of Ibrahim. Its phrases place identity, worship, and freedom from associating partners with Allah at the center of daily remembrance.
