What to say before sleeping — Du'a 10

الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا، وَكَفَانَا، وَآوَانَا، فَكَم مِمَّن لاَ كَافِيَ لَهُ وَلاَ مُؤوِيَ

Pronunciation

Alhamdu lillahil-lathee at'amana wasaqana, wakafana, wa-awana, fakam mimman la kafiya lahu wala mu'wee

English meaning

All praise is for Allah, Who fed us and gave us drink, and Who is sufficient for us and has sheltered us, for how many have none to suffice them or shelter them.

Explanation (Tafseer)

This bedtime praise names everyday gifts that can easily be overlooked: food, drink, sufficiency, and shelter. It attributes each directly to Allah and remembers that many people lack someone to provide or shelter them, joining personal gratitude with awareness of human need.
