اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الهَمِّ وَالحَزَنِ، وَالعَجزِ وَالكَسَلِ، وَالبُخلِ وَالجُبنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّينِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Pronunciation

Allahumma innee a'oothu bika minal-hammi walhuzn, wal'ajzi walkasali walbukhli waljubn, wadal'id-dayni waghalabatir-rijal

English meaning

O Allah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being over powered by men.

Explanation (Tafseer)

This prayer seeks protection from paired inner and outward burdens: anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, crushing debt and domination by others. The list recognizes emotional pain, inability, harmful character, financial pressure, and social powerlessness as connected forms of distress requiring Allah’s refuge.
