اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الهَمِّ وَالحَزَنِ، وَالعَجزِ وَالكَسَلِ، وَالبُخلِ وَالجُبنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّينِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Pronunciation

Allahumma innee a'oothu bika minal-hammi walhuzn, wal'ajzi walkasal, walbukhl, waljubn, wadal'id-dayni waghalabatir-rijal

English meaning

O Allah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being over powered by men.

Explanation (Tafseer)

In the setting of debt, this prayer seeks refuge not only from the debt’s burden but also from anxiety, sorrow, weakness, laziness, miserliness, cowardice, and domination by others. Its breadth shows how financial pressure can be joined by emotional, personal, and social hardship.
