كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُعَوِّذُ الحَسَنَ وَالحُسَينَ رضي الله عنهما ((أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِن كُلِّ شَيطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِن كُلِّ عَينٍ لاَمَّةٍ)).

Approximate Arabic reading aid

Kāna rasūlu allāhi ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam yu'awwidhu alḥasana wal-ḥusayna raḍiyallāhu 'anhumā u'īdhukumā bikalimāti allāhi at-tāmmati min kulli shayṭānin wahāmmatin, wamin kulli 'aynin lāmmatin.

English meaning

Ibn AAabbas related that the Messenger of Allah used to commend Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn to Allah’s protection, saying:(I commend you two to the protection of Allah’s perfect words from every devil, vermin, and every evil eye.)

Explanation (Tafseer)

This prayer places two children under the protection of Allah’s perfect words. It seeks safety from every devil, harmful creature, and harmful eye. The wording is direct and comprehensive, naming both unseen and visible forms of danger while locating protection with Allah.
