اللَّهُمَّ اغفِر لَهُ، اللَّهُمَّ ثَبِّتهُ

Allaahum-maghfir lahu Allaahumma thabbithu

English meaning

O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, strengthen him

Explanation (Tafseer)

This prayer after burial makes two direct requests for the deceased: that Allah forgive the person and make the person firm. The brevity keeps attention on pardon for what has passed and steadfastness in what follows after burial.
