Invocation for entering the restroom

[بِسمِ اللَّهِ] اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الخُبثِ وَالخَبائِث

Pronunciation

Bismil-lah allahumma innee a'oothu bika minal-khubthi wal-khaba-ith

English meaning

(In the name of Allah). O Allah, I take refuge with you from all evil and evil-doers.

Explanation (Tafseer)

Before entering the restroom, this invocation opens with the name of Allah and then turns immediately to seeking His refuge. The protection requested is broad, covering evil itself as well as evil-doers, in keeping with the entry’s stated setting.
