Invocations for when the wind blows — Du'a 2
Pronunciation
Allahumma innee as-aluka khayraha wakhayra ma feeha, wakhayra ma orsilat bih, wa-a'oothu bika min sharriha, washarri ma feeha washarri ma orsilat bih
English meaning
O Allah, I ask You for it’s goodness, the good within it, and the good it was sent with, and I take refuge with You from it’s evil, the evil within it, and from the evil it was sent with.
Explanation (Tafseer)
This fuller prayer asks for the wind’s own good, the good contained within it, and the good purpose for which it was sent. It mirrors those three requests with refuge from its evil, what it contains, and any harmful purpose carried with it.
