Invocation for when it thunder

سُبحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعدُ بِحَمدِهِ وَالمَلاَئِكةُ مِن خِيفَتِهِ

Pronunciation

Subhanal-lathee yusabbihur-ra'du bihamdih, walmala-ikatu min kheefatih

English meaning

How perfect He is, (The One) Whom the thunder declares His perfection with His praise, as do the angles out of fear of Him.

Explanation (Tafseer)

This statement declares Allah perfect while describing thunder as glorifying Him with praise and the angels as doing so in awe. The wording connects the sound of thunder with praise of Allah and places the angels beside it in reverence and fear of Him.
