لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلكُ، وَلَهُ الحَمدُ، يُحيِي وَيُمِيتُ، وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لاِ يَمُوتُ، بِيَدِهِ الخَيرُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Pronunciation

La ilaha illal-lah, wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku walahul-hamd, yuhyee wayumeetu wahuwa hayyun la yamoot, biyadihil-khayru wahuwa 'ala kulli shayin qadeer

English meaning

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is living and does not die. In His hand is all good and He is over all things, omnipotent.

Explanation (Tafseer)

This market remembrance affirms that Allah alone deserves worship and has no partner. It connects His oneness with complete sovereignty and praise, His giving of life and death, His own undying life, the good in His hand, and His power over everything.
