Noon Saakin & Tanween Rules
Ikhfa (Concealment) إِخْفَاء
Conceal the noon with a 2-count ghunnah — when followed by the 15 remaining letters.
When a noon saakin or tanween is followed by any of the 15 letters not covered by izhar, idgham, or iqlab (ت ث ج د ذ ز س ش ص ض ط ظ ف ق ك), the noon is held in a state between full pronunciation and full merger — a soft nasal hum of two counts, with the tongue prepared for the next letter's articulation point.

Tanween + ha is izhar, not ikhfa — careful: the example next is. The tanween before ta in جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي → ikhfa. · 2:25
