Ra Muraqqaq (Light)
Light when the ra carries kasra, or sukoon following an original kasra.
The ra is pronounced light (with the tongue flat) in these cases: it carries a kasra (رِ); it carries a sukoon and the previous letter has an original kasra (not preceded by an isti'la letter); a stop is made on a ra preceded by a kasra or by a ya saakinah (e.g. خَيْرٍ when stopping).
